Part II of II
In case you missed Part I of my G&G Armament Report from Shot Show 2011 this year, you can go here:
So, the 2nd half of my G&G Report from Shot Show 2011 in Las Fabulosas Vegas begins with a shout out to the Airsoft ladies out there. Again, this isn't a new item, per se, but you'll note that in Part I of this report, I admitted to being ill-prepared which resulted in me failing to set an appointment to speak with anyone at the G&G Booth about their new stuff. My fault, not theirs. All their reps were busy when I got there and despite taking my time to walk through the booth and snoop around, nobody became available while I was there and I had to move on. End of story, goodbye, the end, el fin.
Anyway, brought to you ladies (or dudes, if you're man enough to rock a pink M4) by G&G Armament, I give you La Femme Fatale 16, the famous Pink Airsoft M4 Carbine AEG.
I'm guessing at least some of these colors are new because I don't see them listed on the G&G website, but here, you can see several different colored rifles in the G&G GR15 & GR16 series, including the white G&G Chione** 16 White Special Edition AEG for those of you Airsoft Arctic Snow Warriors...
According to Wikipedia, my favorite resource for the truth, Chione was either a Snow Goddess, Snow Nymph, or just a Snore (Snow Whore). One page even stated that the English translation was "Snow White." Something tells me, after reading this background, Disney may not have done their homework before they made that epic film back in the day starring a dead chick, 7 "little people" with varying personality disorders and some tainted fruit. Although, now that I think about the whole Disney alliterative XXX subliminal scenes scandal involving several classic Disney children's films, maybe they DID do their homework as another perverted inside joke and were counting on the sheep-like masses to NOT do theirs? I don't know. Either way, Chione's stories include being seduced by Apollo, who was disguised as a FEMALE senior citizen and Hermes slipping Chione a sort of mythological Rufie pill then subsequently having his way with her lifeless body. True story.
Speaking of felonies, don't point your Airsoft guns at Cops. They'll shoot you with real bullets and assuming you are not killed, you will then be charged with a felony or two. Just a randomly generated Airsoft PSA (Public Safety Announcement) from me to you. You're welcome.
Anyway, back to G&G. How about some G&G AK47 rifles? Sure, why not?
Here's the G&G RK103 EVO AEG (top)and the G&G RK104 EVO AEG (bottom)
I really love those molded grips. They WREAK of ergonomical wonder!!!
Ah yes. Now, for a little segment here on the Pyramyd Airsoft Blog I like to call, "New G&G Product Talk Time with Tom."
The G&G GR14 EBR.
It's officially licensed by Sage International, real steel manufacturer of the coveted M14 EBR. "EBR" stands, of course, for Enhanced Battle Rifle.
It's an AEG.
It even whispered in my ear that my butt looked good in the 5.11 Tactical Series ripstop TDU pants I was wearing at the time because it knows how to treat a man.
For some reason, the G&G website has this listed as the GR14 H.B.A. rifle, which I can ONLY ASSUME means "Heavenly Bad-Ass Rifle."
I mean, seriously, what ELSE could it be?!?!
Check out this beast. The G&G M14 EBR even comes with an ambidextrous sling mount.
+1 for convenience factor. +2 for saving us money on having to buy a sling mount separately. Thanks G&G Armament, that was pretty Roosevelt of you.
I pulled the bolt cover back to reveal the holy grail of Airsoft parts, the Hop-up.
I was pleased to find that the new G&G M14 EBR utilizes a hop-up unit pretty much the same as the Classic Army M14 hop-up, which I'm very familiar with as a pretty stable system. I don't know that it's quite as good as the Marui/Echo1 M14 hop-up unit, but I have enough personal experience with all three of those systems to know that it's definitely good enough to be quite dangerous. Haterz gonna hate.
Here's something rather intriguing...I modified the original above to read it more clearly...
Click on the image to open a larger view if you so desire, but on the bolt cover, that text reads: "Capital of Greedy Island." I don't know what that means, but it's kinda funny. Apparently, G&G has been doing that for awhile now. Guess I'm not as "in the loop" as I thought. Oh well. I chuckled. Seems they've got some characters in their midst, which I'm totally cool with. "Characters," or those with entertaining personalities in my book, are fun people to be around, I've found.
Simply because it would be downright disrespectful to ignore classic beauty, I had to snap a shot of the G&G M14 AEG Trio on display.
Don't hate the player, hate the game.
Speakin' of playaz, check out this guy WINNING with his excellent trigger discipline.
He's chosen to accessorize that trigger finger with the new G&G GR14 Heavenly Bad-Ass Rifle (aka the EBR).
On Todd's left, our right, you can see the new G&G SG 550 Series on the wall, lookin' good.
Alright, so here's a complete list of the G&G new product line-up for 2011:
G&G G96 with actual "real wood" stock
G&G G14 EBR Long
G&G L85 Carbine
G&G L85 AFV
G&G GR15 Raider-XL DST
G&G GR15 Raider-L DST
G&G GR15 Raider DST
AND MY PERSONAL FAVORITE:
The G&G GR16 CRW Cannon! I try to avoid quoting Paris Hilton wherever possible, but "that's hot!"
the G&G GR16 CRW Viper
Oh yea. Last, but certainly not least, here's a little treat for my WA2000 fans out there: G&G's version of the WA2000 Airsoft Sniper Rifle.
Made famous by it's real steel originator, Walther. The same folks with the engineering behind 007's famous sidearms.
They will be releasing the spring-powered version with plastic furniture at first, but wood furniture will be following suit shortly, PLUS there is talk of developing the internal system to run on C02 cartridges as well, so keep an eye out for those happenings.
And I'm spent. G&G. You have some nice guns. I want to be friends with many of them. ESPECIALLY that CRW Cannon. Imagine that Cannon in a CQB/MOUT setting, not unlike John Lu's upcoming OP: Red Storm event, where the CRW Cannon has been outfitted with PolarStar's HPA-powered Fusion Engine, RELIABLY boasting rates of fire in excess of 40 Rounds Per Second with minimal wear & tear. Can you even wrap your mind around that!?!
