Today's blog covers a look inside the Elite Force M4 Competition Series (Ares OEM) Airsoft AEG. The intent here, like all my other blogs featuring the internals of various Airsoft guns I review, is to show you, the reader, what the internals of the gun look like, in the event you want to upgrade or repair your gun's internals or maybe you're just curious. Whichever way you prefer, I am here to satisfy your needs (twss).
See what's inside this Elite Force M4 Competition Series gearbox after the jump...
All the guts, minus the spring and spring guide glory, which I had already removed.
Here's the other half of the gearbox shell to show the trigger, with it's unique design.
Air nozzle has an o-ring inside of it.  A definite plus for getting good compression through the gun.
Back side of the trigger switch, in case you were curious about the switch's specs.
I've probably run 3,000 to 4,000 rounds though the Elite Force M4, and while that's still very early in it's career as a gun, I still remain impressed that the motor pinion gear appears to be in virtually flawless condition, which is not always the case with other guns from different manufacturers that I've examined.
One thing I found out about this gun, is that some of the gearbox screws were set with lock washers.
Didn't seem to negatively affect the gun in anyway, just a curious observation , since I've never actually seen an AEG with these things.
